Looking for a sober community with a festival feel this May half term…?
As the Easter bank holiday is left behind us and many of us count down the days until the bank holidays May brings, let’s spare a moment for the parents among us… In terms of challenges, the 2-week Easter break is second only to the 6-week Summer holidays. By the May half-term, parents and carers and those without children alike will be very much in need of a reset and recharge. And this is where the Big Freezone Festival comes in….

Freezone Retreat Charity was founded in 2010 to support people in recovery from addiction to find an affordable means to explore meditation and other holistic aids to recovery. Since then the charity has broadened the target audience to include anyone whose mental health and holistic wellbeing might be supported by attending. In 2020, the Freezone team decided a festival was the next big step to share the magic with larger audiences including families- providing conscious and fun spaces for all with kids under 12 attending for free, and subsidised price tickets for teens.

The Dorset- based festival at Gaunts House in Wimborne from 30th May- 2nd June boasts activities varying from shamanic drumming, to breathwork, cacao ceremonies, foraging, circus skills, to healing and therapies, a rave in the woods, live music and laughing yoga… The programme is impressive and, of course, its all good clean fun, with no drinking or drugging, unlike many other festivals. Plus its all for a good cause- the Freezone crew pride themselves on the fact that 100% of the proceeds of the festival goes towards the cause of running Freezone Retreats to share meditation and other spiritual practices with those who will most benefit from them.

Early Bird Ticket has now sold out, but Tier 2 tickets are still available at an incredibly affordable £120.00 each for adults, £95.00 for teens and, again, KIDS GO FREE, so check out the website and socials for more info: www.freezonefestival.co.uk
